Clear skies building SW wind.

Lots of Viper’s Bugloss in flower at the moment.

A typically quiet June morning for migrants. A Willow Warbler in song and female Wheatear were a surprise given the date, a Reed Warbler was still singing near the pub but no sign of the Quail. In the evening I flushed a Little Owl near Cornish Farm, my first here since a pair bred at near by Birling Manor in 2017. I also saw my first Cinnabar moth on the wing… it’s beginning to feel like summer.

Bee Orchid.
