Another clear start with a moderate NE wind.

Yellow Wagtail numbers have really built up this week with their calls heard frequently this morning, very few seen on the ground and in fact very hard to see as they pass over calling! I’d say somewhere in the region of 100 birds seen/heard although impossible to be accurate. Swallow, Sand Martin and House Martin (first day the latter has been present in numbers) also moving from dawn with perhaps a 1000 birds passing east. c15 Willow Warbler, c25 Common Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat amongst the bushes. 2 Pied Flycatcher were in the old trapping area early on.
