29th July 2018

Although weekdays are currently spent in London until mid-August it’s been nice to catch up with at least some of late July’s avian happenings.

Another Yellow-legged Gull at Princes Park, this juvenile being the third I have seen this July.

Quite a lot of moult visible in the mantle already on this bird.

Today was incredibly windy with gale force southerly winds. There were several parties of Swift passing the headland first thing (c60) in a westerly direction. Shooters held a single Willow Warbler, which was my first of the month. I’d imagine when this weather abates there’ll be a little push of migrants.
