After many visits and many, many loaves of bread sacrificed, the quest to see some juvenile Yellow legged Gulls at Princes Park finally ended when two birds appeared this evening. One, a very typical looking bird quite heavy set, whilst the other was slighter, somewhat warmer and a little more worn.
The first bird above showing two new, 2nd generation scapular/mantle feathers coming through, a feature only YLG’s would show in July. That aside a lovely and obvious individual.
