Not much this morning, still an annoyingly strong SW wind. I encountered no migrants other than 3 passing Swift. John Cooper did have the first Willow Warbler and Redstart of the late summer or early autumn period (which ever you choose to call it!) yesterday.

Young Common Whitethroat.

Although opinion is that numbers of local Common Whitethroat are down this year, there are plenty of noisy fledglings around at the moment. This one was part of a vocal group begging for food from it’s parents in Shooters Bottom.
