Overcast morning with low cloud and a brisk SW breeze. Good selection of birds in Shooters Bottom, no huge numbers except for Common Whitethroat which are very numerous at the moment. 3/4 Ravens flew about the headland cronking. 2 noisy family parties of Stonechat.
3 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat, 6 Willow Warbler, 2 Reed Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler 45+ Common Whitethroat, 3 Lesser Whitethroat.

A late afternoon look around Belle Tout produced a Pied Flycatcher (possibly 2) in the wood, 24 Willow Warbler and a male Redstart below the lighthouse. 5 Whinchat & a Sedge Warbler were along the track to Cornish Farm, also 2 Great spotted Woodpeckers flew east. A handful of Sand Martin flew south.

Yesterday, (13th August) shortly before dusk, Shooters Bottom hosted 2 Nightingale, 1 fem/imm Redstart, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler and a single Wheatear.
