On the 22nd June a colour ringed Herring Gull joined a group collecting bread I’d thrown out the back of my property. It was an orange colour ring which I know is used by the North Thames Gull Group. They run operations at Rainham & Pitsea land fill sites. I had assisted on a couple of ringing days during the winter this bird had been caught & ringed, but not on that exact date. It hasn’t been reported since it was originally caught almost 4 years ago, lazy birdwatchers!
